WWE has rescinded Bobby Lashley’s firing.
For those who missed it, WWE official Adam Pearce fired Lashley (in storyline) Monday night on WWE RAW. Lashley was fired after he accidentally struck officials for two weeks in a row.
Pearce issued a statement this afternoon announcing that Lashley’s firing has been reversed and that he and Lashley will meet soon to discuss how to proceed. “Despite what I said last night,” Pearce said, “Bobby Lashley is not fired.”
Lashley’s behavior, according to Pearce, is unacceptable and will result in consequences. Pearce apologized for allowing his emotions to get the best of him in the heat of battle.
“I formally rescind Bobby Lashley’s termination and I sincerely apologize for my part in escalating an already volatile situation,” Pearce stated at the conclusion of his statement.
