WWE has added another rising independent wrestling talent to its WWE ID program, with Richard Adonis officially signing a developmental deal.

The announcement was made during Monday night’s WWN Proving Ground event in Florida, where WWE ID player/coach Timothy Thatcher presented Adonis with his contract.

Thatcher was also in action at the event, competing against Conan Lycan.

Adonis, 25, is known on the independent wrestling circuit as “The Silver Snake” and has already gained some experience within WWE’s developmental system.

The Florida native participated in WWE’s SummerSlam week tryouts in August before competing in an NXT dark match last month.

Adonis began his professional wrestling career on November 18, 2017, and has trained under several established names in the industry, including WWE Hall of Famer Afa The Wild Samoan, Pete Dunne, James Drake and Zack Gibson.

He has also competed for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), gaining additional experience outside WWE.

His signing comes amid several recent changes to the WWE ID roster, with the company continuing to recruit independent wrestling prospects while other talents exit the program.

Adonis joins Monica Monroe, Josiah Jean and Conan Lycan among the initiative’s newest additions.

Meanwhile, Laynie Luck, Marcus Mathers and Sam Holloway have recently confirmed their departures from WWE ID.

The WWE ID program was established to identify and support promising independent wrestlers, providing selected talents with developmental opportunities and a potential pathway into WWE’s broader system.

Adonis now becomes the latest prospect to join the initiative as WWE continues reshaping its developmental talent pool.
