WWE SmackDown Results – August 8, 2014
We kick off the show with Dean Ambrose. Ambrose announces that his match against Seth Rollins at Summerslam will be a lumberjack match. There will be no escape for Rollins from Ambrose. Rollins comes out and chooses Randy Orton to be Ambrose’s opponent tonight.
Match #1
Ryback & Curtis Axel vs Mark Henry & Big Show
Henry and Big Show overpower Axel in the early going. Ryback and Henry have a standoff that Henry wins. Rybaxel manages to double team Henry and take him down. Big Show makes the hot tag and chokeslams Axel as Henry hits the Worlds Strongest Slam on Ryback for the win.
Winners: Big Show & Mark Henry

Damien Sandow vs Sin Cara
Sandow comes out as a border patrol officer. Sandow attacks in the early going until Sin Cara hits a Samoan drop and the senton bomb.

Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins
Rollins stomps away at Ziggler early. Chinlock from Rollins. Rollins with two suplexes in a row. Ziggler with two dropkicks, however he gets thrown out of the ring by Rollins. Rollins continues the beat down on Ziggler. Big clothesline from Seth. Ziggler starts making the comeback with a clothesline and big splash in the corner. Neckbreaker from Dolph for two. Ziggler misses a splash in the corner and knocks himself out. Rollins goes to pick him up but Ziggler rolls him up for two. Huge jumping DDT from Dolph. Fameasser from Ziggler for a near fall. Ziggler gets thrown into the ring post and to the outside. Rollins destroys Ziggler on the outside and hits the curb stomp in the ring for the win.
Winner: Seth Rollins

Paige vs Natalya
Natalya knocks Paige out of the ring but when she goes out to get her, Paige hits the Paige Turner on the floor. Natalya gets back in the ring and Paige kicks her. Paige locks in the Rampage and Natalya taps.

Match #5
Rusev vs Big E
Rusev beats down Big E in the corner. Big E begins fighting back, only for Rusev to hit the superkick and make Big E tap to the Accolade.
Winner: Rusev
Main Event
Dean Ambrose vs Randy Orton
Ambrose gets fired up on offense early until Orton starts targeting the shoulder. Orton tears at the shoulder in the corner. Ambrose dives out of the ring onto Orton. Orton continues wearing down the shoulder of Ambrose and Ambrose tries to fight back with one arm. Ambrose with clotheslines and a running cross body. Ambrose goes for a suicide dive but Orton elbows him. Orton tosses Ambrose into the steps. Ambrose throws Orton out of the ring and hits the suicide dive this time. Ambrose goes for the Dirty Deeds but Rollins gets on the apron. Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds but before he can get the win, Rollins pulls him out of the ring.
Winner via DQ: Dean Ambrose
Ambrose starts fighting back but Orton helps Rollins beat Ambrose down. Orton leaves and Rollins pours a soda over Ambrose, for revenge for what he did to the briefcase. Rollins hits the curb stomp and stands tall to end the show.
