WWE SmackDown Viewership And Rating Report For 5/5/2023

The latest episode of WWE SmackDown saw a drop in ratings.

According to Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics, the show averaged 2.059 million viewers on FOX, a decrease from 2.473 million viewers.

The show received a 0.52 rating in the crucial 18-49 demographic, down from a 0.67 rating a week ago. The show faced stiff competition in the form of the NBA and NHL playoffs. The NBA game alone drew over 5 million viewers on ESPN.

With 2.077 million viewers, this was the lowest key demo rating since December 16 and the lowest total viewership in SmackDown’s regular timeslot since September 2.

The first night of the Draft drew the highest ratings since the WrestleMania go-home show, while this week’s show was the Backlash edition of SmackDown.

Last year, the show drew 1.998 million viewers and a 0.46 demo rating in the 18-49 demographic.
