Death of Wrestling: Dolph Ziggler

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. We all know that wrestling is a work. We all know that the matches are predetermined and the winners and losers are set in stone before the wrestlers even step through the curtain… so doesRead More
From Across the Pond
It’s been two weeks since I last wrote something for, so I’d like to apologise for that. I’ve been busy reformatting a website, which basically took over my life from the end of October until this past Sunday. The only break I had from it was to watch Hell in a Cell. It’s done now though, so your regularly scheduled FATP’s are back from here on in. This past weekend, I went out and bought my FIRST wrestling DVD. Yup, you read that properly: my FIRST wrestling DVD. SeemsRead More

The Wrestling Genius: When Good Ideas Go Bad

Some things work really really well, like casting Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Sure now it seems like he was the only choice but at the time Downey wasn’t exactly in vogue in Hollywood. His comeback attempts after several drug related run in’s with the police hadn’t really materialized (unless you are one of the eleven people that enjoyed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang…ok I’m one of those eleven). The director and the studio were taking a huge risk, the kind of risk that could get people fired and workingRead More

Tea Time with Liam: MITB Madness

Hello everybody once again. Liam here with another riveting edition of Tea Time with Liam. Again this still seems like it’s becoming more of a bi weekly gig than weekly and hey its Monday today so I’m even posting it on the wrong day too. Like I mentioned in my previous article. I am trying to bring this back to weekly but due to a combination of terrible shows and my chronic laziness I’m pumping out every two weeks currently. Will that change? I’ll guess we’ll see what WWE andRead More

Jim Ross Blogs On Tyson Kidd-WWE, New General Manager & More

Jim Ross has a new blog up. Here are some highlights below. On Tyson Kidd qualifying for MITB: “Happy to see Tyson Kidd’s success on Smackdown Friday night. Tyson has seemingly found his personality, so to speak, to go along with his significant in ring skills. I love his in ring persona, which will/should only get bigger and better, and the skill set that the Calgary Kid brings to the table. A recent NXT bout vs. Michael McGillicutty gave me all that I needed to see on both young athletesRead More

Thunder’s Weekly Rundown 06/30/12

Impact Wrestling dominated TV this week in terms of quality, but sports entertainment as a whole was extremely fun to watch! The rundown is loaded this week, so let’s jump right into it! ROH Best In The World(06/24/12) Reaction: The Briscoes defeated the Guardians of Truth. Solid tag team action to start the show. I’m curious who the Guardians are; one of them had sporadic tattoos similar to Michael Cole(if Cole had a tan and fifty pounds of muscle, I’d be suspicious). Homicide defeated Eddie Edwards. This match was straightRead More

JR Blog: More On Punk/Cena, Daniel Bryan’s MITB Win, More

Jim Ross has posted a new blog over at Below are some highlights: “CM Punk and John Cena had a scintillating main event that featured over 30 minutes of classic, old school wrestling. It took me back a generation, or so it seemed, and that match alone was worth the price of the PPV. My black hat is off to both men. John Cena and CM Punk reminded me of why I have had a love affair with this genre since I was a boy.” “Daniel Bryan winning theRead More

JR On CM Punk’s Future, The Upcoming Stone Cold DVD, More

Jim Ross has a new blog entry available on his official website. Below are some highlights: -It is expected that CM Punk will be leaving the WWE after this Sunday’s PPV in Chicago. I see no signs that MITB and @CMPunk vs. @JohnCena won’t be Punk’s last match in WWE at least for the foreseeable future. The Wrestling Genius: MITB Vegas (fake) Odds

It feels good to be back and doing something that I love. For those of you who don’t know my hiatus was due to me being displaced by flooding, the worst my home town has ever seen. Still displaced but things have settled down enough that I can get back to my column. I’ve had quite a few of you ask my thoughts on CM Punk’s amazing promos, and where I think he’ll end up at the end of all of this. My feeling is what I’ve felt all alongRead More
