WWE has changed the advertisement for this year’s Money in the Bank PLE, which will take place on Saturday, July 1, at the 02 Arena in London, England.
Due to high demand, the show’s general sale sold out in less than a minute.
Initially, the show did not feature Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. However, he is now listed in the WWE website’s events section. Another change is that WWE removed Drew McIntyre from the list of stars advertised for Money in the Bank.
McIntyre, as PWMania.com previously reported, is unhappy with his position at the company, and his contract is set to expire this year. According to reports, he and the company are far apart on financial matters.
McIntyre hasn’t wrestled since a triple threat match at WrestleMania 39 against Sheamus and Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which Gunther won. McIntyre is also out with an injury, with the most recent update last month indicating that he will be out for a little while longer.
It’s interesting that he was removed from the show after reports regarding his status surfaced, especially in this market where WWE will air MITB.
Cody Rhodes, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, and Becky Lynch are among the other names advertised for the show.
