Matt Riddle Rips CM Punk, Recalls Tense Backstage Moment With John Cena

Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle didnโ€™t mince words when discussing CM Punk and John Cena during a recent appearance on the Going Ringside podcast.

When asked about Punk, Riddle launched into a blunt critique, claiming the former WWE Champion has a bad reputation backstage and is difficult to work with.

โ€œThat guy sucks at fighting and heโ€™s a bitch to work with in the back,โ€ Riddle said. โ€œHe just belly aches and complainsโ€ฆ Iโ€™ve heard from my boys that still work there that he is a headache, and this isnโ€™t a storyline, this is the facts.โ€

The outspoken former King of Bros made it clear his opinion is based both on personal experience and what heโ€™s been told by current WWE talent.

Riddle also shared a humorous yet tense story about his first backstage interaction with John Cena, revealing that it didnโ€™t go over well.

โ€œI accidentally said I thought he would be bigger,โ€ Riddle recalled. โ€œHe kind of gave me a verbal lashing back and forth. He gave me crap for being the โ€˜King of Bros,โ€™ tried to get me to explain what that was, and no answer was good enough for John Cena.โ€

While both stories add to Riddleโ€™s reputation for unfiltered honesty, they also shine a light on past locker room tensions and the sometimes unpredictable dynamics between major WWE personalities.
