The WWE SmackDown on FOX taping tonight won’t have Pat McAfee working it.
On the latest episode of WWE After The Bell, Corey Graves announced that Michael Cole and he will be announcing tonight’s SmackDown in McAfee’s place.
McAfee is currently in Lake Tahoe for the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, which starts today, as can be seen in the tweets below. McAfee has been holding his own “$100,000 Tahoe Takedown” competition with a few of his buddies.
In related news, The Miz will take part in the American Century Championship celebrity golf event, which begins today at the Edgewood Tahoe golf course in Nevada. Justin Timberlake, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers, Charles Barkley, Nick Jonas and others will all be present with Miz.
The buildup between McAfee and Happy Baron Corbin will have to wait till McAfee returns the following week. The two are presently feuding in preparation for a match at WWE SummerSlam. Corbin will probably brag on tonight’s SmackDown about how he attacked McAfee following WWE Money In the Bank.
This week, it was revealed that McAfee had signed a new multi-year contract with WWE. On social media, Cole praised him, as can be seen at this link.
