PWMania.com recently reported that Ilja Dragunov has left WWE. The former WWE United States and NXT Champion has already been moved to the alumni roster, but neither he nor the company has officially confirmed his departure.
On his Twitter (X) account, Bryan Alvarez discussed the situation and mentioned that there are “a few” main roster contracts set to expire in October. While he did not specify who the talents are, he noted that they are “people who haven’t been on TV much.”
It’s important to clarify that Alvarez only indicated that these contracts are coming to an end; he did not provide any information on whether the promotion plans to renew them. Reports suggest that Dragunov chose to let his contract expire, even though WWE wanted to retain him. The other talents mentioned could be in a similar situation, or they may be negotiating new deals.
