WWE Extreme Rules Results: Roman Reigns Stops the Demon, Sasha Banks Returns

Halloween is in October, but it seemed to be in full session at Extreme Rules. The event was full of mysterious lights and music, which seemed to revive “The Demon” Finn Balor. However, a spectre motion resulted in the top turnbuckle breaking, handing a successful title defence to Roman Reigns, the Universal champion. The Extreme Rules night did not give betting fans much trouble as it had expected results derived from unexpected journeys. The event had five title matches which all ended with the champions retaining after strong matches. WWE Extreme Rules sports betting enthusiasts and fans can check out the latest bonus codes for 2021 as they plan to wager on the next event. However, the main event between Balor and Reigns was more startling.

It might have been slightly tacky to lean into the supernatural. However, the result seemed obvious based on Reigns’ current standing and plans for the future. Therefore, going out of the box to create some drama was among the few limited options.

Balors First Loss as the “Demon”

This loss was Balor’s first while taking on the Demon persona on WWE’s main roster. It was also his second defeat under the paint since he joined WWE. The first was when he came up against Samoa Joe in June 2016.

Although the outcome of the battle between Balor and Reigns seemed inevitable, it was a great match. Their contest generated considerable reactions to a lifeless object as the fans called out for the tables, a permissible implement in the Extreme Rules match.

Balor went under the ring to try to grab a table, but Reigns stopped him to the great disappointment of the fans in attendance.

Instead, they used the steel chair which Reigns first used on Balor before rummaging everything. Balor levelled the playing field with a double stamp on Reigns’ chest with the chair on top of him. Then, Balor got the table into the ring receiving rousing applause from the fans. However, Reigns’ drive-by kick sent Balor’s head into the ring post.

After that, Reigns sent Balor into the cheering crowd, but before he followed, he put on a mask to continue his assault more responsibly. However, the sequel did not end so well for him as Balor jumped off the WWE Kickoff Show stage and hit a crossbody, sending Reigns through a table set up on the floor.

Balor’s Table Turned Against Him!

When they returned to the ring, Balor’s table was turned against him. His nemesis, Reigns, lifted him with a Uranage before slamming him through the table. Reigns then missed his Superman punch as Balor hit him with his Pele kick, to which he responded with a second Superman punch garnering an extra two-count.

Reigns became arrogant, and as he took too much time, Balor smashed him down with a Slingblade. Reigns appeared to have won the match after returning to his feet, but Balor fought back.

In the duel’s final moments, Balor seemed to have made the impossible happen as he set up for a Coup de Grace. However, as he balanced himself on the rope, it broke and sent him tumbling to the ground. As the lights came on, Reigns turned Balor’s lights out with a spear getting the three-count.

Sasha Banks Returns

In the Smackdown women’s championship, the match between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair ended in disqualification. This was after a returning Sasha Banks interjected just as Belair was about to finish off Lynch with her K.O.D finishing move.

Now, things fell apart post-match as Banks teased an uneasy peace with Lynch. Banks also threw the entire division into disarray as she connected on Backstabbers with both women. in this sense, a triple threat is possible.
