It was previously announced that Major League Wrestling (MLW) signed a streaming deal with Tubi, allowing their flagship show, Fusion, to air on Thursday nights. This new arrangement began with the most recent episode that aired this week.
According to Fightful Select, the deal includes a rights fee for MLW Fusion and a revenue-sharing agreement for integrating MLW’s library into the streaming service. The report also indicated that the deal was finalized in August, coinciding almost exactly with the five-year anniversary of the termination of the first MLW-Tubi deal.
To provide some context, MLW had initially signed a deal with Tubi in mid-2021, but it ultimately fell through. The company subsequently filed a lawsuit against WWE, alleging that the deal was disrupted because of WWE’s ties to FOX, which owns Tubi. This antitrust lawsuit was settled in December 2023, with WWE agreeing to pay $20 million to resolve the matter. Previously, MLW had a deal with BeIN to air MLW Fusion, in addition to streaming on YouTube, but the BeIN agreement reportedly expired in August.
