During the March 28th 2022 edition of WWE RAW, Omos defeated Erik and Ivar in a handicapped match via countout. Afterwards, Bobby Lashley made his return to action for the first time since the 2022 Elimination Chamber PLE. Lashley had a physical confrontation with Omos and after a struggle, Lashley was able to take Omos off his feet. Both men pointed at the WrestleMania sign afterwards to set up a match for the event.
That match was later confirmed for WrestleMania Sunday.
