AEW star Brian Cage has revealed he recently underwent a knee replacement surgery, marking his second major procedure in just two months.
Cage, whoโs currently sidelined with a torn quad, posted a video update on Instagram showing himself already back in the gymโjust four days after undergoing the knee replacement. The procedure comes only eight weeks after his surgery to repair a torn quad tendon.
โThe Machineโ shared that he had been battling severe knee pain for years, pushing through the discomfort with the plan to undergo surgery after AEWโs All In event. However, after suffering the quad injury, Cage opted to tackle both issues head-on.
โ4 days post knee replacement (8 weeks post quad tendon repair) and Iโm already back in the gym @projectwellbeingllc… Love me, hate me, or somewhere in-between, you canโt deny Iโm a f**ing machine!โ* Cage wrote.
โIโve been dealing with excessive knee pain for years… With the unfortunate set back of tearing my quad, I figured F it, letโs just get โem both done. Not an easy or fun choice, but Iโm gonna come back ripping heads off. Especially if this is me right now after surgery.โ
Cage also gave a shoutout to WWEโs Ricochet, who helped film the gym session and trained with him during recovery, and plugged his sponsors and discount codes, staying true to his “#gmsi” (Get My S*** In) mindset.
Despite the double setback, Cageโs rapid return to training reflects his signature resilience. While thereโs no confirmed timetable for his return to in-ring action, fans can expect โThe Swolverineโ to come back with a vengeance.
