Chris Jericho has officially filed a new trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, registering the term “The Hi Spot” under entertainment services. The filing was made on September 11 through Michael E. Dockins on behalf of Chris Irvine, Inc.

The application covers a range of wrestling-related entertainment services, including:

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

As of now, Jericho has not publicly commented on the trademark filing, nor has he revealed whether “The Hi Spot” is intended for a new wrestling persona, podcast, show, or another project.

Jericho has yet to be officially announced for a match at AEW Revolution, set for Sunday, March 9. However, with weeks remaining until the event, it’s likely that his role will become clearer soon.

With the trademark filing and ongoing AEW storylines, Jericho could be preparing for something new, whether it be a faction, a media project, or an evolution of his current character.
