WWE has announced the lineup for the October 16th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which will be available internationally on Netflix and in the United States on the USA Network.
The episode will kick off at 8 PM ET at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
In a highly anticipated match, Paige will face WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella in a singles competition. This is currently the only match announced for the show.
The match announcement was made during a backstage segment on Friday’s show, where Paige confronted Bella and declared that they would face off on October 16th. The segment began with WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green discussing the Women’s Money in the Bank Match when Bella interrupted her, vowing to take the title from Green. Paige then intervened, stating that Bella couldn’t pursue the title until their match was complete. She gave Bella two weeks to prepare, then ended the confrontation by slapping her before leaving. Green subsequently took credit for the drama and exited the scene.
Paige has been feuding with Bella since the Bella Twins turned on her at WWE SummerSlam. Bella previously defeated Paige on the September 11th episode of SmackDown and interfered in Paige’s six-woman tag team match on last week’s show.
Be sure to tune in every Friday night at 8 PM ET for live coverage of WWE SmackDown results.
