DDT Pro-Wrestling Never Mind 2022 Results (12/29/22) – Kazusada Higuchi vs. Yuki Ueno, Konosuke Takeshita

On December 29th, the Tokyo Dome City Hall venue played host to DDT Pro-Wrestling’s Never Mind 2022 event. This was the nineteenth event in the Never Mind year end series.

In the main event, the current KO-D Openweight Champion Kazusada Higuchi defeated D Oh Grand Prix Winner and DDT Universal Champion Yuki Ueno to retain his title in a MOTY candidate. Higuchi and Ueno hugged and shook hands after the grueling match as a sign of respect.

Yuji Hino challenged Higuchi for the KO-D Openweight title and the match was made official for DDT Pro-Wrestling’s upcoming Sweet Dreams event on January 28th.

There was a major title change at Never Mind 2022 as the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship changed hands. Tetsuya Endo, Kotaro Suzuki & Yusuke Okada defeated Naruki Doi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata to become the new champions.

Recent AEW signee Konosuke Takeshita had a successful return to DDT Pro-Wrestling (his home promotion in Japan) at Never Mind 2022 as he and Yukio Naya were victorious over Daisuke Sekimoto and Rickey Shane Page.

  • Four Way Match: MAO defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Chris Brookes & Cara Noir via pinfall.
  • Special Tag Team Match:  Konosuke Takeshita & Yukio Naya defeated Daisuke Sekimoto & Rickey Shane Page via pinfall.
  • DDT EXTREME Championship Match:  Jun Akiyama (c) defeated Super Sasadango Machinevia pinfall to retain the DDT EXTREME Championship.
  • KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship: Tetsuya Endo, Kotaro Suzuki & Yusuke Okada defeated Naruki Doi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata (c) via pinfall to become the new KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions (Endo, Suzuki and Okada were challenged after the match by Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno and Takeda “Shining Ball” Koju for the titles.
