Bishamon have been crowned the new IWGP Tag Team Champions.
Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi defeated FTR’s Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood to win the IWGP Tag Team Titles at Wednesday’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 event. Bishamon earned his title shot by winning the NJPW World Tag League finals in December.
Bishamon is in his second reign. FTR debuted with the straps on June 26 at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, defeating Roppongi Vice and former champions United Empire in a Winners Take All Triple Threat match in which FTR also defended their ROH World Tag Team Titles.
In recent months, FTR has lost the ROH World Tag Team Titles, the AAA World Tag Team Titles, and the IWGP Tag Team Titles.
