GCW 56 Nights Results (1/1/23); Maki Itoh, Blake Christian, and More

The Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ, played host to Game Changer Wrestling’s latest event “56 Nights” on January 1st.

The featured match for the event was the 30 person Do or Die Rumble with the winner earning a shot at the GCW World Championship held by Nick Gage.

There was a Do or Die Scramble match featuring Joey Janela, Blake Christian, Tony Deppen, Willie Mack, Alec Price and Jordan Oliver. The winner of the Do or Die Scramble match automatically becomes entrant #30 in the Do or Die Rumble. Also, the person taking the fall in the Do or Die Scramble will be eliminated from the Rumble and replaced.

Entrants in the Do or Die Rumble included: Masha Slamovich, Alec Price, One Called Manders, Jordan Oliver, Nick Wayne, Blake Christian, Kerry Morton, Tony Deppen, MArcus Mathers, Allie Katch, Starboy Charlie, Effy, Billie Starkz, Willie Mack and others.

  • Masha Slamovich defeated Cole Radrick
  • Nick Wayne defeated Leon Slater
  • Do or Die Scramble: Blake Christian defeated Joey Janela, Willie Mack, Jordan Oliver, Alec Price, Blake Christian. Blake Christian becomes entrant #30 in the Do or Die Rumble. Joey Janela was eliminated and replaced in the Do or Die Rumble as he was pinned by Blake Christian.
  • Maki Itoh defeated Dark Sheik, Billie Starkz and Sawyer Wreck (GCW World Champion Nick Gage joined Itoh in the ring after the match. Itoh said Gage’s MDK catchphrase and was carried backstage by Gage)
  • Death Match: Matt Tremont def. Mad Man Pondo
  • Do or Die Rumble (Winner gets a future GCW World Championship match): Masha Slamovich eliminated Blake Christian to win the Rumble and earn a GCW World Title Match. Christian attacked Slamovich after the match and then took out Akira who came to the aid of Slamovich.)
