WWE President Nick Khan recently confirmed a long-standing rumor about his pastโ€”he once appeared on Wheel of Fortune. During an appearance on the โ€œWhatโ€™s Your Story? With Stephanie McMahonโ€ podcast, Khan revealed that his $16,500 game show winnings were instrumental in launching his legal career.

Khan explained that during his early years, he worked full-time while attending both undergrad and law school. But when it came time to prepare for the bar exam, he faced a financial roadblock.

โ€œI knew that to study for the bar and pass the bar, I couldnโ€™t work full-time, study, and pass. I had to take two months off just to study,โ€ he said. โ€œI had to pass it the first time. I didnโ€™t have the financial means to take it the second time, or to wait on being a lawyer like a lot of other folks.โ€

With few options, Khan took a chance and submitted a postcard application to Wheel of Fortune in the late 1990s or early 2000s. After attending a mass audition at the Sony lot in Los Angeles, he was selected for the show.

โ€œI won $16,500. And when your bank account goes from zero to 16 five, Iโ€™m like, โ€˜Iโ€™m never gonna have to work again. Iโ€™m rich. Now this is over. Drinks are on me,โ€™โ€ Khan joked.

The money was used to pay for a Bar Review course. He passed the bar exam on his first attemptโ€”and the rest, as Khan put it, โ€œis history.โ€

The story adds another layer to Khanโ€™s rise to the top of the wrestling industry and highlights the hustle and determination that continues to define his leadership style today.
