When it comes to the Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW All In in London, surprise entrants are highly anticipated, especially since several slots are typically reserved for mystery participants. There has already been speculation about potential names to fill these secret slots, with former WWE stars and current free agents Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly and Ilja Dragunov being two of the most talked-about options. Currently, the announced participants for the match include MJF, Andrade El Idolo, Tommaso Ciampa, and Komander.
In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp mentions some other possibilities. He considers Keith Lee and Buddy Matthews to be strong candidates, as both are veterans of AEW and WWE. Sapp also suggests another wild card: Paul Wight. However, he points out a caveat regarding Wight, calling it a potential “one more match.”
It seems unlikely that Wight would want his final match to be a surprise, unannounced appearance. Moreover, Wight has frequently spoken about his physical reconditioning and his desire not to take on a backstage role, indicating that a drastic change of mind would be necessary if this were indeed his last match.
That said, the presence of a giant in a battle royal-type setting always makes for an exciting visual, reminiscent of WWE Hall of Famer Andre the Giant.
