At last Saturday’s NJPW Battle in the Valley event, Japanese pro wrestling legend Sumie Sakai teamed up with NJPW stars EVIL and SHO to face Hiromu Takahashi, Yuka Sakazaki, and Mayu Iwatani in 6-Person Mixed Tag Team action in her retirement match.
Shortly after the match, Sakai took to her official Twitter (X) account to thank Tony Khan for allowing Sakazaki to appear on the show. She also said that Sakazaki is her favorite wrestler and that AEW is so lucky to have her.
