What did Booker T think of the mass WWE talent releases this past week?

The two-time WWE Hall of Fame legend and WWE NXT commentator shared his thoughts on this week’s WWE releases, and the release of Mustafa Ali in particular, during the latest installment of his “Hall Of Fame” podcast.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the episode where he touches on this topic with his thoughts.

On Mustafa Aliโ€™s WWE release after he asked for it: โ€œDid I see it coming? No, but Iโ€™m not surprised by anything that happens when it comes to guys getting released. Yeah. Itโ€™s just like Mandy Rose didnโ€™t see that coming. When it happens, it happens quickly, and itโ€™s always been that way in this business as far as guys being on that list of guys getting released. You know and itโ€™s always a really, really touch-and-go time of the year. Itโ€™s not a itโ€™s not a fun time of the year at all, you know? So I get it. I totally understand it. But I didnโ€™t see Mustafaโ€™s name come up or anything. It wasnโ€™t like, this guy rocking the boat didnโ€™t see that or anything. But you never know whatโ€™s going on behind the scenes as well as with this merger.โ€

On WWE making the cuts: โ€œTheyโ€™re going to be looking to trim a lot of fat. Theyโ€™re going to be looking to. Hey, do we really need these guys? So thatโ€™s why I say I donโ€™t take myself out of that category when it comes to, when guys get released when a merger happens because itโ€™s business. And if you look at this thing as anything other than a business, you can find yourself out in the cold wondering what happened. Thatโ€™s why for me, I have several jobs. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m Hustlin all the time. Iโ€™m like Nipsey Hussle Grindinโ€™ all my life sacrifice, hustle. Paid the price. Yes, thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m all about.โ€
