Michael Chandler Confirms WWE Talks With Triple H About Potential Contract

UFC lightweight contender Michael Chandler may be eyeing a new arena, and it’s not inside the octagon.

The two-time Bellator Lightweight Champion confirmed during an interview with The Schmo Show at Fanatics Fest in New York City that he has had direct talks with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H regarding a potential jump to WWE.

“I was talking to WWE, talking to Triple H about my WWE contract. So we’re trying to make that happen,” Chandler revealed. “He knows I’m a fan of WWE and him and the brand. He’s obviously a fan of what I bring to the table from an entertainment standpoint, what I can do on the microphone.”

Chandler didn’t confirm any official signing but made it clear both sides are interested in keeping the door open.

“It’s always fun conversations. Who knows if anything is ever going to happen, but he knows I want that door to be open, and I think he wants that door to be open too.”

This wouldn’t be Chandler’s first brush with WWE. The charismatic fighter made a surprise appearance on the February 19, 2024, episode of Monday Night Raw, cutting a fiery in-crowd promo that called out his longtime UFC rival Conor McGregor.

“You are in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet,” Chandler declared on Raw. “Now there’s a man in Ireland that’s been making me wait for way too long… Conor McGregor, get your candy a back in the octagon.”

Known for his energy, intensity, and promo skills, Chandler has long been seen as a natural fit for pro wrestling. With the lines between MMA and WWE continuing to blur, especially after the TKO Group merger, his arrival in WWE may only be a matter of timing.
