WWE legend and 17-time World Champion John Cena appeared on Busted Open Radio to discuss various topics, including why he didn’t show much emotion and remained quite poised during his last match.
Cena said, “What I do and how I perform is not for my personal satisfaction. It is for the reaction of the audience. And if they felt emotional the day that I stopped performing in the ring, that’s the feels that they have. A lot of people who were super emotional on my last day, I didn’t share those emotions. I’m completely sympathetic, but I had already compartmentalized my journey. I know it’s a chapter in my life. I work every day on self-worth, stuff like that. Man, I finished my last match. I have left nothing on the table. There is nothing more I could give.”
