Hiroshi Tanahashi Discusses His Role As The New President Of NJPW, What He Hopes To Accomplish

NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi recently spoke with Sports Illustrated on a number of topics including his new role with the company and how it allows him to focus on short and long-term goals.

Tanahashi said, “I am honored to be president and an active wrestler. This is a very valuable time for me since I am still an active wrestler. Being president allows me to focus on short and long-term goals for New Japan Pro-Wrestling.”

He also talked about what he hopes to accomplish as the new president of NJPW.

“I will focus on which matches entertain and excite fans. We have exciting matches coming up, starting at Wrestle Kingdom 18 in the Tokyo Dome.”
