WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently revisited one of the most unforgettable segments of the Attitude Era—the legendary milk truck incident—in a new WWE Retrospective video released on the WWE Vault YouTube channel.

The Olympic gold medalist didn’t hold back when describing the moment, which took place on RAW in 2001 during the peak of the Invasion storyline. According to Angle, the milk-soaked chaos with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Alliance wasn’t just a crowd-pleasing stunt—it was the single greatest moment of his entire career.

“This is the greatest moment of my career,” Angle said. “Above WrestleManias, above everything. This one moment defined my career. It made me so excited about who I was and what I represented—not just an Olympic gold medalist, but a milk drinker and a top wrestler in the company.”

Angle reflected on how meaningful it was to go toe-to-toe with Austin at the time.

“Stone Cold and I were going head-to-head. I was wrestling the top guy in the company, and I was one of the other top guys. This segment validated me. It made me realize where I was and where I was heading.”

Angle even broke down some of the behind-the-scenes magic that made the segment work—specifically, what was (and wasn’t) real milk.

“Just so you know, that is not milk right there. That’s white food coloring with water coming out of the hose. It was hooked up to a faucet backstage, but they used food coloring to make it look like milk. The milk I had in the truck, though? Those were real cartons of milk. That was the real deal.”

The WWE legend also shared a hilarious post-show travel story, revealing that he had to rush straight to the airport in his milk-drenched gear—without time to change.

“I had to catch a red eye right after the event. I couldn’t change, so I went straight to the airport still in the same outfit—milk all over my shirt, pants, and shoes. About three hours into the flight, people started smelling sour milk. They were mad, like, ‘Who the hell smells that bad?’ I was panicking! I wrapped my arms around my shirt, tried to cover my shoes, and hoped no one realized it was me. The whole plane reeked of sour milk. It was hilarious—but brutal.”

Over two decades later, the milk truck segment remains one of WWE’s most iconic comedy-meets-chaos moments—and for Angle, it’s a defining piece of his storied legacy.
