The reigning AEW World Trios Champions, “Hangman” Adam Page and the team of Brodido (Brody King and Bandido), issued an open challenge on this week’s episode of Dynamite following a massive brawl. The teams involved in this brawl included The Demand, The Dogs, The Conglomeration, and The Lethal Swirl, and these teams are expected to be part of the upcoming match.
Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Bang Bang Gang and the Don Callis Family could also be potential participants. Additionally, Swerve Strickland has expressed interest in the match, and there are rumors that he might team up with former WWE stars The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods).
In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that the New Day teaming with Strickland is “very likely.” He noted that, as of last week, The New Day are not officially signed with AEW, but there are strong expectations for their arrival. Many talents within AEW are eager to see them join, as there are numerous exciting tag team matchups that could feature the duo.
