MLW Superfight 4 Live Results – February 3, 2024

Major League Wrestling’s annual cornerstone event, ‘Superfight 4,’ emanated from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

The card will featured six matches that included Superstars of MLW, NJPW, and CMLL. The event was headlined by current MLW World Champion Alex Kane facing the first-ever MLW World Champion Satoshi Kojima.

MLW Superfight 4 Results (2/3/2024)

We are introduced to the Announce Team of Joe Dombrowski and Matt Striker, who promote the Main Event Match tonight between Kane and Kojima. We go to the ring as we get set for the opening contest for the MLW Middleweight Championship.

MLW Middleweight Championship 2 out of 3 Falls Match: Rocky Romero (c) (w/Salina de la Renta & Jesus Rodriguez) vs. Ichiban

Ichiban has Romero on top turnbuckle, and as he picks him up, Romero falls on him. At the same time, Rodriguez holds Ichiban’s foot, making Ichiban unable to kick out as Romero takes the first fall. Romero up 1-0

Ichiban hits his finisher to get the pinfall and will the second fall.         Tied 1-1

The third fall saw some big spots, including Ichiban jumping on the top turnbuckle to suplex Romero. There were many near falls in this crucial last fall. Romero was able to pick up the pinfall in the third and deciding fall, and he did it without assistance.

Result: Rocky Romero defeats Ichiban to retain his MLW Middleweight Championship

Hoss Fight Match: Davey Boy Smith Jr vs. 1 Called Manders

While it was never described as what a Hoss Fight is, it was a no-DQ match. DBS got Manders in a cross-face, and before he passed out, he gave the finger.

Result: Davey Boy Smith Jr defeats 1 Called Manders 

After the match, Davey Boy Smith Jr. continued to beat up Manders as he licked the blood off of Manders’ head. He then is interviewed, where he grabs the mic and cuts a promo, then drapes the Canadian Flag over him.

Jacob Fatu vs. Yuji Nagata

Nagata had moments in the match; however, in the end, Fatu persevered, hitting his Alley Uce and Double Spring Moonsault from the top rope for the three count in his MLW farewell match.

Result: Jacob Fatu defeats Yuji Nagata

After the match, Fatu grabs a mic and starts to talk to the Philly crowd. Contra interrupts him with Mads Krugger, who lays out Fatu in the ring.

Death Machine Rules Match: Akira vs. Sami Callihan

With anything goes rules, Callihan used the help of The Calling to defeat Akira.

Results: Sami Callihan defeats Akira

After the match, The Calling beats down on Akira and ties his arms to the ropes. Raven is there with a kendo stick. Instead of hitting Akira, he takes out the rest of The Calling and sides with Akira.

In between matches Minoru Suzuki vs. Satoshi Kojima is announced for MLW Intimidation Games.

Mads Krugger challenges Jacob Fatu.

Mistico vs. Averno

Jesus Rodriguez introduced Averno. Cesar Duran returned and introduced Mistico. Mistico defeated Averno in a battle of MLW debuts.

Result: Mistico defeats Averno

Jacob Fatu vs. Mads Krugger is announced for MLW Burning Crush.

MLW World Heavyweight Championship Match: Alex Kane (c) vs. Satoshi Kojima

In a back-and-forth match, Kojima hit a big Lariat to pick up the pinfall and become the first-ever two-time MLW Champion in a shocker.

Result: Satoshi Kojima defeats Alex Kane (c) to become the new MLW World Heavyweight Champion

After the match, Kojima thanked the crowd. He tells them to drink more beer and eat bread!
