NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi To Miss Several Events Due To Ankle Injury

NJPW announced that company president Hiroshi Tanahashi is set to miss several events due to an ankle injury.

According to the announcement, Tanahashi will miss the upcoming Sakura Genesis event, the New Japan Cup tournament, and his IWGP Global Championship Matchup against Nic Nemeth has been delayed until further notice.

Following further examination on an ankle injury sustained at New Beginning in Sapporo, Hiroshi Tanahashi will be absent from the New Japan Cup series, as well as Sakura Genesis on April 6 to allow for a full recovery.

His previously announced IWGP Global Championship match will be delayed until a later date to be determined.
