WWE Announces Cody Rhodes Injury, Change to Hell in a Cell Match?

This weekend, WWE presented a live event named after one of its legendary shows, “Saturday Night’s Main Event.” The most important news from the show, however, has nothing to do with Saturday night’s winners or losers. Click here for full results from Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins in a one-on-one match for the live event fans in Champaign, Illinois was one of the most popular matches announced for Saturday night. However, shortly before the match, it was announced that Cody Rhodes had been “injured,” and Drew McIntyre would take his place. Drew went on to defeat Rollins, and despite the “injury” they said Cody suffered, he still ran out to chase Seth Rollins down after the match.

Update on Cody Rhodes Status for Tonight’s WWE Hell in a Cell

With the announcement coming only one night before WWE’s “Hell in a Cell” Premium Live Event, where Cody is set to face Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match, it’s only logical to wonder how serious the injury is. Will Cody be able to participate tonight, or is it something less serious for which WWE may want him to rest so he can fight on Sunday?

WWE has not issued a statement on the matter on social media.

Whatever the situation, PWMania.com will keep you informed on Cody’s “injury” and his involvement at HIAC.
