AAA star Mr. Iguana has quickly become a breakout name following his appearance at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide, and according to backstage reports, his performance made a major impression on WWE officials.
A new report from Fightful revealed that the internal reaction to Mr. Iguana’s performance was overwhelmingly positive. One source even stated, “We have to get him to the Intuit Dome for a Money in the Bank appearance.”
Mr. Iguana was praised not only for his unique in-ring presence but also for how well his character translated to social media. He was also said to be very popular backstage, with multiple WWE Superstars asking for photos with him throughout the weekend.
WWE higher-ups described him as a “pleasure” to work with, noting his enthusiasm and full participation in promotional obligations during the event.
On the merchandise side, Mr. Iguana also delivered. His merch reportedly ranked just behind R-Truth’s top-selling shirt, and due to that success, WWE has already begun internal discussions about expanding his product line — including the idea of releasing iguana puppets for fans, especially children.
Additionally, an NXT source noted there are already conversations underway to bring Mr. Iguana back for more appearances, reflecting growing interest in leveraging his appeal across more WWE programming.
With fan buzz, strong backstage support, and merchandise momentum behind him, Mr. Iguana may be one of the breakout crossover stars to watch in 2025.
