NJPW star Zack Sabre Jr. recently spoke with the company on a number of topics including his NJPW G1 Climax Day 7 loss to Shota Umino.
Sabre Jr. said, โIโm topping the block, but a little bit of adversity never hurt, did it?.โ โIโm the best technical wrestler in the world, so I donโt need shortcuts. But [it] backfired. Iโll live and learn. I can still get 8-1, 8-1โs a pretty good record. You better get through the block stage now, Shota. Otherwise, thatโll be very embarrassing.โ
โLosing sucks. Any self-help motivational speech about losing being good for you is a bunch of bollocks. Losing bloody sucks. But Iโve been here for. This is just gonna remind me, the G1โs the hardest tournament in all of pro wrestling. The G1โs the hardest tournament in all of pro wrestling for a reason.โ
