20-YEAR RING VET BURCHILL SIGNS NWA CONTRACT
Another Veteran Grappler Remains With The National Wrestling Alliance!
The National Wrestling Alliance has signed Burchill to an exclusive contract. After a five-year pro wrestling hiatus, the world-traveled competitor made his NWA debut in 2023, quickly becoming a top contender to the National Title.
โAfter wrestling around the globe, the National Wrestling Alliance is now Burchillโs home,โ says NWA Chief Operating Officer Joe Galli of the signing.
โWe are very excited Burchill will remain part of National Wrestling Alliance programming and our locker room,โ continues Galli. โThe NWA prides itself on presenting a mix of up-and-coming talent and seasoned veterans. We feel Burchillโs experience can help us shape younger wrestlers into the stars of tomorrow.โ
Over his 20-year career, Burchill held the coveted OVW title and competed against the WWEโs top stars. During an extended break from wrestling, he worked as a firefighter and EMT before returning to the ring last year.
Early in 2024, he unsuccessfully challenged then-champion Silas Mason for the National Title. Now with a new contract, itโs likely Burchill will again target NWA gold. The hunt could begin Aug. 31 at Philadelphiaโs 2300 Arena.
Burchill is confirmed for NWA 76, a celebration of the National Wrestling Allianceโs 1948 founding. His opponent has not yet been announced.
NWA 76 commemorates nearly eight decades of โHistory, Legacy & Traditionโ with a night of hard-hitting pro wrestling action at Phillyโs legendary 2300 Arena. The NWAโs biggest Signature Live Event of the year offers an evening of affordable memories and fun for the whole family.
An opportunity to meet and mingle with NWA stars prior to the eventโs start is included free of cost with paid admission. Tickets are on sale now.
