As previously reported by PWMania.com, this Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view will not be available on TrillerTV in the United States. Instead, AEW is promoting Amazon Prime and YouTube as alternative platforms for U.S. viewers.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Triller is currently in a “really bad financial state.” The company reportedly failed to file its 10-Q report, a quarterly financial statement required by the SEC for public companies. Meltzer noted that this failure could place Triller at risk of being delisted, and suggested the company may need to find a buyer urgently.
Triller’s stock is currently valued at $0.81 per share. The parent company of TrillerTV went public last year, but its future now appears uncertain.
While it’s unclear whether Triller’s financial troubles are directly responsible for the absence of Double or Nothing on its U.S. platform, AEW has not fully cut ties with the service. TrillerTV is still airing AEW programming internationally, and the company remains a distribution partner in select countries.
However, these developments may cause other wrestling promotions to reconsider partnerships with Triller, especially given concerns over payment security and platform stability.
