AEW star Brody King appeared on the “My Momโs Basement” podcast with Robbie Fox, where he discussed various topics, including his potential future as a producer or coach.
King said, โI mean, I would love to (become a producer or coach) because itโs like, I watch wrestling now and Iโm like, โOh, I think this would be really cool for this person to doโ and then Iโll bring it up to him at work. Iโm like, โHey, have you ever thought about doing this?โ And theyโre like, โOh sh*t.โ So itโs like, I enjoy that process of just cooking up stuff for other people or just thinking of off-the-wall things that they might not have thought about.โ
On where it comes from:
โIt usually comes from reading comic books or watching movies. Iโm like, โHey, I saw this thing. I donโt even know if itโs humanly possible but do you think you could do something like this?โ And then of course you have someone like Will Ospreay thatโs like, โMate, I can do anything, bruv.โโ
On wanting to take over AEWโs merchandise department:
โThereโs so much bad wrestling merch. I donโt gotta tell anybody. They all know. Itโs not AEW, itโs everybody. Itโs all companies, itโs all wrestlers. They have such, such bad merch. Itโs crazy. Just look at a band t-shirt, look at anything, look at a movie poster. Just rip that off. Who cares? Just please make better merch and you know, if itโs not me being a producer later on, maybe Iโll take over the merch game at AEW. I donโt know. But somethingโs gotta change.โ
