New backstage details have emerged regarding WWE Crown Jewel 2026 following the announcement that the upcoming premium live event will be relocated to a different venue amid ongoing security concerns in Saudi Arabia.

As previously reported by PWMania.com, Riyadh Season announced on social media that Crown Jewel would be moved from its originally advertised location, with fans who had already purchased tickets set to receive refunds. However, neither WWE nor Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has officially confirmed the replacement venue.

According to Fightful Select, Crown Jewel is still expected to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite speculation surrounding the event’s status. Sources indicated that there are currently no plans to relocate the show outside the city or the country, supporting an earlier report from PWInsider.

Fightful also reported that sources within WWE headquarters were unaware of the venue change until Riyadh Season publicly announced the decision on social media. WWE has yet to issue its own official statement addressing the relocation.

Meanwhile, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the current plan is for Crown Jewel to take place at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. The venue is also scheduled to host the boxing match between Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez and Christian M’billi on October 31.

Meltzer stressed that the information was accurate “as of this hour,” indicating that the situation remains subject to change as preparations continue for the November 7 event.

The venue change comes after construction had reportedly already begun on a temporary outdoor stadium intended to host Crown Jewel. Despite Riyadh Season’s announcement, WWE’s official website continues to advertise the event at Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD.

The situation has generated additional attention because of ongoing security concerns in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, particularly amid regional tensions involving Iran and attacks attributed to the Iranian-backed Houthi movement.

The U.S. State Department has issued a Level 3 travel advisory urging American citizens to reconsider travel to Saudi Arabia, while the U.S. Embassy has released multiple security alerts advising caution. Non-emergency U.S. government employees and their families have also been ordered to leave the country.

Despite those concerns, WWE has maintained its plans to stage Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, with the latest reports indicating that the venue change is expected to remain within Riyadh rather than involve an international relocation.

For now, Kingdom Arena appears to be the leading reported destination, although WWE and Riyadh Season have not officially confirmed the venue or announced when replacement tickets will become available.

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 remains scheduled for Saturday, November 7, with the event set to stream live on the ESPN App in the United States and Netflix internationally.
