AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin participated in the All In: London post-show media scrum, where he discussed various topics, including “The Icon” Sting and Steven Borden assisting him in winning the title at All In.
Allin said, “Honestly though, having Sting out there? I never take it for granted. And the fact that Sting and his son could have this moment at Wembley on top of the ladder — I don’t even know if I can put that into words, the fact that they could share that in front of everybody. And to have Steven in the mix, just everything Sting gave me in my career, I want to give to Steven. Right when Steven caught the bug — because you gotta remember, Steven never wanted to be a wrestler growing up. And when he was at Sting’s last match at Revolution, it’s like, ‘I need this.’ And I told Steven, ‘You can come train with me.’ So I was having him train at my house… and everything Sting gave me, I want to give to Steven. It’s a great moment. And that’s family. It’s not just a character where me and Sting are a tag team; we talk every week. So I’m very grateful for that opportunity.”
On the possibility of teaming with Steven:
“100%. Whenever it is time, 100%. That is how this story gets full circle. Just like I teamed with Sting. At some point, if it lines up, me and Steven, absolutely.”
