As reported by PWMania.com, former AEW World Champion MJF topped this year’s PWI 500 list, surpassing Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Mistico, and Konosuke Takeshita for the top spot.
MJF took to his Twitter (X) account to express his reaction to being ranked #1 on this year’s PWI 500 list.
MJF wrote, “The best professional wrestler in the world.”
In the past year, MJF held the AEW World Championship twice. He won his first title at Worlds End in December during a 4-Way match that included the then-champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Page. MJF lost the title to Darby Allin at Dynamite: Spring Breakthru but regained it at Double or Nothing.
MJF’s most recent match for the company was at AEW All In, where he participated in the Casino Gauntlet Match for a chance at the AEW World Title. Ultimately, Andrade El Idolo won the match.
