Beyond Wrestling Wrestling Open The Crystal Ball Results & Review – May 9, 2024

Beyond Wrestling celebrates its 15th year with Wrestling Open’s “The Crystal Ball” on 5/9/2024 from the White Eagle in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The massive card saw three championship matches sponsored by PWMania’s Rich Michaels. The matches include the Wrestling Open, IWTV Independent Tag Team, and IWTV Independent World Championships.

The event streamed live on IWTV. The results are below:

* IWTV Independent Tag Team Championship Match: Miracle Generation (c) (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) defeated Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson) to retain championships. Waller pinned Bronson.

Iron Savages controlled most of the action during the match and had numerous nearfalls.

Ultimately, the Miracle Generation withstood the onslaught of Iron Savages to pull out the win.

Result: Miracle Generation (c) (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) defeated Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson) to retain their championships.

* TJ Crawford Vs. Thomas Santell

The beginning of the match saw Santell one step ahead of TJ Crawford. Crawford eventually turned the tide and took control of the match.

Crawford worked over Santell’s arm, which Santell sold during the match, and made it possible every time Santell tried to make a comeback.

In the closing moments, Crawford rammed Santell’s arm into the corner and submitted Santell with an armbar.

Result: TJ Crawford defeated Thomas Santell.

After the match, Crawford continued to attack Santell’s arm. Ryan Clancy came down to make the save for Santell.

* Mike Santana Vs. Dan Barry

This back-and-forth match made its way to the outside a couple of times and saw many near falls.

Mike Santana hits Barry with a spinning Lariat to pick up the victory.

Result: Mike Santana defeats Dan Barry.

The two shook hands after the match in a mutual show of respect.

*Allie Katch Vs. Megan Bayne

This match started fast, with Bayne taking control of the match using her strength.

Katch makes a comeback. The two go back and forth with each other. Katch kicks out of an F5 by Bayne. Bayne then kicks out of a piledriver by Katch.

Bayne hits a tombstone piledriver on Katch to pick up the win.

Result: Megan Bayne defeats Allie Katch.

* Alec Price Vs. Warhorse

The crowd is loud and firmly behind Price. Warhorse took control of the match, silencing the crowd. Warhorse works on Price’s arm.

Price makes a comeback and hits a flying leg drop on Warhorse for a two-count. Warhorse stifled Price’s comeback and takes back control of the match. Warhorse, but cannot put Price away.

Ultimately, Price outlasted Warhorse in picking up the win via pinfall.

Result: Alec Price defeats Warhorse.

* Eliminator Cup Tag Team Championship Match: The Stetson Ranch (c) (Steven Stetson & Danny Miles) Vs. The Church of Greatness (Tyree Taylor & Ichiban)

After some back-and-forth action, The Stetson Ranch took control of the match. The Ranch did an excellent job keeping Ichiban in the ring for quite some time.

Ichiban eventually makes the hot tag to Tyree Taylor. Taylor uses his size and strength to turn the tide of the match.

All four competitors are in the ring as the ref loses control and the match breaks down. Steven Stetson ripped Ichiban’s mask off his face, causing Miles to roll him up.

Result: The Stetson Ranch (c) (Steven Stetson & Danny Miles) defeated The Church of Greatness (Tyree Taylor & Ichiban) to retain their championships.

After the match, Mark Sterling came down. He announced that new Wrestling Open Tag Team Champions would be crowned with new titles at the culmination of the third annual Eliminator Cup Tournament.

* Wrestling Open Championship Match: Brad Hollister (c) (w/Big Business) Vs. Joey Janela

The two start off by trading slaps with each other. Hollister hits Janela with a big headbutt.

After some offense by Janela, Hollister took control of the match. Janela had some comebacks, which Hollister stopped as he remained in control.

Hollister holds and favors his wrist. Both wrestlers trade shots back and forth again.

Janela has Hollister in a Kamura lock on the top rope. Hollister uses his strength to hit a big suplex from the top rope to pick up the pinfall on Janela.

Result: Brad Hollister defeats Joey Janela to retain the championship.

After the match, Love Doug challenges Hollister, saying he will do anything to get another title shot. 

TJ Crawford comes down, and Hollister grants Love Doug a match with the stipulation that he can never tag with Crawford again if Love Doug loses.

Hollister also announced Crawford would be the special guest referee.

* Masha Slamovich Vs. Gabby Forza

Slamovich controlled most of the match. Forza makes a comeback. The two traded a couple of near falls. 

Forza hits Slamovich with a spear to pick up the win in a surprise victory. 

Result: Gabby Forza defeats Masha Slamovich.

After the match, Forza raises Slamovich’s hand as they acknowledge each other. Slamovich then clotheslines Forza, beats her down, and leaves her in the ring.

* IWTV Independent World Championship No DQ Match: Krule (c) Vs. Rickey Shane Page

The two wasted no time bringing in weapons. RSP goes through a table in the corner. Krule then hits him with a chair, but RSP continues fighting back.

The two go back and forth, sending each other through more wooden tables. RSP hits Krule with his best shots but cannot keep Krule down.

Krule comes back, and now RSP refuses to stay down. RSP took Krule to the limit, but in the end, Krule was too much for RSP and defeated him via pinfall.

Result: Krule defeats Rickey Shane Page to retain his championship.
