Former WWE Star Cedric Alexander Debuts In TNA During Impact Tapings

TNA iMPACT! had the wrestling world buzzing after Cedric Alexander made a surprise debut during the promotion’s recent tapings, confronting Mustafa Ali in a heated and dramatic moment that immediately reignited their storied rivalry.

The segment aired as part of TNA’s special “sneak peek” live taping on Friday, available via the free tier of TNA+. It will officially broadcast this Thursday on AXS TV.

The moment unfolded as Ali was moments away from attacking his former ally John Skyler. Before the assault could take place, Cedric Alexander’s music hit, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Alexander walked down to the ring and stood face-to-face with a stunned Mustafa Ali.

The confrontation quickly turned even more shocking as the members of Ali’s Order 4 faction—who had been increasingly frustrated with Ali’s erratic behavior—chose to stand behind Alexander. With his entire group abandoning him, Ali had no choice but to retreat alone, setting the stage for what could be an explosive feud.

This confrontation wasn’t without history. Alexander and Ali share a deep connection from their days in WWE, most notably from their classic feud on 205 Live. Their rivalry culminated in a memorable Cruiserweight Championship match on the WrestleMania 34 Kickoff Show in 2018, a bout that showcased both men’s talents to the world.

Since being released by WWE on February 7, 2025, Alexander—who had a near-decade-long tenure with the company—has stayed active on the independent scene, appearing in House of Glory, Deadlock Pro-Wrestling, and other promotions. He is also remembered for his run with The Hurt Business on WWE’s main roster, alongside MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley.

Interestingly, the rest of that former faction has since reformed in AEW under the new name The Hurt Syndicate, with MVP, Lashley, and Benjamin now holding the AEW Tag Team Championships.

Meanwhile, Ali has been spiraling in TNA since his loss to Mike Santana at Rebellion. Tensions within Order 4 have boiled over in recent weeks. Last week, during a summit segment, Ali berated Tasha Steelz over a mysterious text exchange and dismissed both her and Jason Hotch. His increasingly volatile behavior led to the confrontation with John Skyler, which in turn opened the door for Alexander’s debut.

With Cedric Alexander now in TNA and Order 4 seemingly defecting, a high-stakes rivalry between two of wrestling’s most talented former cruiserweights is about to unfold once again—this time on an entirely new stage.
