WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, who is also All Elite Wrestling’s Director of Business Development, spoke with WrestleZone on various topics, including signing his final pro wrestling contract with AEW.
Jarrett said, “I learned from an early, early age, the wrestling fans are what put groceries on the table. So, if they’re going to spend their money to come. Buy a ticket, buy a t-shirt, nowadays, buy pay-per-view, whatever it may be. You gotta give them their money’s worth at the end of the day. I don’t ever want to be sitting, proverbially, on the rocking chair and say, ‘Man, I wish I would have…’ fill in the blank. So, living with no regrets, and so my mind’s made up. It got made up right at the end of the year. We’ll see what the year brings. January was super busy, and a lot of moving parts, and I’m reevaluating as the story goes now, but we’ll see where the future takes me.”
On if he has thought about his final match or who his final opponent will be:
“[I haven’t thought about that] at all. Yeah, I’ll say this as of today, March 5, as we’re headed into Revolution now, I’ll be a part of Zero Hour. I certainly don’t have any of that [figured out]. I’m looking, like I always have, looking for the next opportunity, whether it comes next Wednesday or the following Wednesday or Saturday, whatever it may be.“
