At this past Sunday’s NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 32 tournament finals, Kosei Fujita scored a career-defining victory by defeating YOH, earning a future shot at El Desperado’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
Fujita sealed the win by hitting the Thrill Ride and scoring the pinfall, capping off an impressive run through the tournament. At just 22 years old, he now becomes the youngest competitor ever to win the prestigious Best of the Super Juniors tournament.
While an official date for the title match has not yet been announced, it is expected that the bout could take place at NJPW Dominion, scheduled for Sunday, June 15th.
