WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle appeared on Busted Open Radio to talk about a number of topics, including why he turned down an offer for a TV show to be made about his life.
Angle said, โWhen my documentary came out, Hollywood came calling. I had a few different producers getting a hold of me and saying, โHey, we want to make a movie out of your life.โ I had one director, he was like, โListen, I want to do a TV show. I want this to be the next Yellowstone.โ Iโm like, โOkay, what do you want in it?โ Heโs like, โI want everything.โ I said, โWell, there are things my family members didnโt, they donโt want to bring back up. They donโt want this to surface again. They donโt want to relieve that anymore.โ Thereโs a lot of crazy stuff that happened in my family that I really didnโt want to be aired on TV. I said, โAre you gonna add that stuff?โ He said, โEverything. I want everything or I donโt want nothing at all.โ I said, โHow about we just make a movie?โ He said, โNo, itโs either a TV show or Iโm not doing anything.โ I was like, โWell, Iโm sorry man. I respect the heck out of you, but I canโt do a TV show then. Iโll try to find someone else who will do a movie.’โ
