As PWMania.com previously reported, WWE NXT star Lexis King experienced an injury scare during an 8-Man Tag Team Match.
He took a knee to the head while competing alongside his Birthright partners, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey, and Uriah Connors, against WWE Men’s Speed Champion Elio LeFleur, Eli Knight, Kale Dixon, and Tavion Heights at an NXT live event in Lakeland, Florida, this past weekend. Fortunately, it was reported later that King was feeling okay after the match.
On Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT, commentator Vic Joseph announced that King was not medically cleared to compete. This news came after it was confirmed that Elio LaFleur, the WWE Men’s Speed Champion, is also sidelined due to an injury sustained during the same live event match; he was reportedly seen wearing a sling.
During the Tuesday NXT episode, LaFleur and Eli Knight were attacked by unknown individuals, resulting in Los Americanos taking their place in the NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament Match. Los Americanos defeated The Culling and advanced to the finals, where they will face two members of Birthright on next week’s episode of NXT, which will take place at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. King is a member of the Birthright team.
As of now, there is no update on when either King or LaFleur will return to action, but more information will be provided as it becomes available.
