Corbin might be true in thinking that Riddle is going up too fast. How Riddle defeated AJ Styles, the Intercontinental Champion on his debut in SmackDown makes us think that it is true. Emerging stars usually go through a process of losses. After the preliminary matches, the new superstars have a feud with a top-billed superstar. Matt Riddle skipped many of those steps and Corbin did not like this. Corbin was also upset about the fact that while the Riddle vs Corbin match had been planned back in March, he only found out about it recently.

Barret said that there are tons of opportunities for a professional wrestler, which were not there when he was starting. When he was a beginner the only real opportunity for a wrestler was WWE.
