The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that while there’s been speculation about WWE showing interest in Mistico after his appearance at AEW Grand Slam: Mexico, the company has not made any moves to sign him at this time.
There is also no indication that WWE is actively pursuing CMLL talent for their potential partnership with AAA, and if any such moves occur, they are not expected before August.
Místico would likely be WWE’s top target if they decide to scout CMLL stars. Místico previously competed in WWE under the ring name Sin Cara from 2011 to 2014. In recent years, he expressed a desire to return to WWE one day and prove himself as a major star.
Currently, Místico serves as the top babyface in CMLL, as the promotion experiences a significant surge in popularity both in Mexico and internationally.
