Mercedes Mone appeared on AEW TV for the first time this week on AEW Dynamite.
They showed highlights of Williow Nightingale defeating Mercedes Money in the finals of the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship at Resurgence. Nightingale stated that she is demonstrating her STRENGTH.
It was wise to show the footage in order to highlight Nightingale as a top star, but it was also interesting to see Mone mentioned by name. Mone reportedly suffered an ankle injury, forcing the match’s conclusion to be changed. A rematch is likely as soon as Mone recovers, and one has to wonder if it could happen at the Forbidden Door PPV in Toronto.
