AEW President Tony Khan will continue to hold quarterly Battle of the Belts specials despite the introduction of a new Saturday program, AEW Collision.
The special debuted on AEW in January 2022, following the debut of Rampage and Dynamite on TBS.
When Collision was announced, there was some speculation about whether the show would continue to air, as the previous installments had aired on Friday nights following Rampage.
Khan confirmed the news to Wrestle Nomics on Wednesday and stated that more information about the next event would be released soon.
Khan said, “Yeah, Battle of the Belts will continue, which is great. As far as where the next episode of Battle of the Belts will run on TNT, whether it be on a Friday or Saturday, is a great question. We’re still talking about that. We’ll have an answer about that soon.”
