WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash appeared on an episode of his Kliq This podcast and discussed various topics, including how he heard a story of former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon attending a Dave Chappelle comedy show in June 2021 and tried to give Chappelle tips after the show.
Nash said, โTell you a great story I heard. It was Hunter [Triple H], Vince [McMahon], and I think Ari [Emanuel]. They went to go see [Dave] Chappelle, and so theyโre in the crowd, and the person that tells me the story is saying that Vince canโt sit still, Vince is looking around, and after the show, they get to go back and talk to Chapelle. Everybodyโs talking, everybodyโs talking, and Vince just says, โDo you mind if I give you a couple ideas on what might be able to make the production aspect of this a little bit better?โ Vince, as he watched the show, he was basically dissecting what would make it better from the standpoint of production and the visual effect of it. Man, itโs just like, just a different.โ
On his past interactions with McMahon:
โI remember every time I would come back to the WWE, it would be like, โOkay, and then of course youโre gonna go from that handheld and then just go ahead and shift a little bit because weโre gonna pick you up with camera 17, which is somewhere over here.โ I remember when I went into the Hall of Fame in โ15, the year before, I put Scott [Hall] in, and I had to pick the microphone up. I guess that really bothered Vince, that I had to make such an adjustment. So when it was time for me to speak, Shawn put me in, and then I went to grab it. Vince went, โAh,โ and he went to smack my hand. A power thing went [makes noise], it went up to the perfect height. Thatโs the difference between WWE and everybody else.โ
