Zeuxis Undergoes Surgery To Repair Meniscus Tear

CMLL star Zeuxis has announced that she recently underwent surgery to repair a meniscus tear, which she sustained prior to her match against AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Monรฉ at AEW Grand Slam: Mexico.

Zeuxis shared the update on Twitter (X), stating (via Google Translate):

โ€œAfter 1 month with a meniscus tear and working at 100%, finally coming out of surgery, and ready for recovery to be at 1000%, Iโ€™ll be absent from what I love most, which is the ring and the fans, but I promise to return and bring back everything that belongs to me.โ€

The bout marked a major turning point, as Monรฉ ended Zeuxisโ€™ 278-day reign as CMLL World Womenโ€™s Champion. The match was part of a high-profile stretch for Monรฉ, who is currently one of the most decorated champions in wrestling. In addition to the CMLL World Womenโ€™s Title, Monรฉ also holds the AEW TBS Championship, the RevPro Undisputed British Womenโ€™s Championship, and the EWA Womenโ€™s Championship.

After recently winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Monรฉ is set to challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Womenโ€™s World Championship later this month at AEW All In: Texas.
